Review the packing list after a trip

Separate items used, items carried for contingencies and items that proved unnecessary. Record why something was missing rather than simply adding every possible object. Keep the next list suited to the actual destination and group.

Keep the finished note with its date and source material. Return to it when you repeat the exercise, and add what changed rather than replacing the earlier observation.
